Internal Medicine Residency News - April 7th, 2025

Happy spring everyone!

This week our team is learning at the Annual PD and Program Admin Meeting - we look forward to bringing back what we learn. Big thanks to the chiefs, Sarah, Emily, Bre and Dr. Hargett for holding down the fort til Wednesday!

Kudos this week to Saurabh Sudesh from the 8200 team for his superior care during a core, to Neha Pal from the VA team for her diagnostic amazingness (and she sends to Ankit Kayastha for his help), to Zach Dailey for a fantastic SAR talk, Elisabeth Fassas for a wonderful Cohen Conference, and to our latest taco champ Karen Young

Congrats to Fiona Splaine on her engagement! Also huge congrats to the Labriola fam on the newest addition to the DukeFam - baby Sky! Big brother Day and mom are doing great.

This week's pubmed from the program goes to Alexy Novelli for her ACC presentation (with mentor Dr. Marat Fudim):

CORRELATION BETWEEN CHANGES IN TOTAL BLOOD VOLUME AND MEASURES OF DECONGESTION DURING HEART FAILURE HOSPITALIZATION

Have a great week!
