Fam,

OMG it is the last week of some very important members of our team! Send your hugs, thank you’s and more to Kayla Travis whose last week with us ends of Friday. We will miss you and appreciate you!!!

Also, last week of the 2023-24 Chiefs before their emails collapse into an empty occasional reminder to renew their safety modules.  We will get to celebrate them both at their GRAND ROUNDS on Friday morning and with a bit of a roast at the SAR-lebration.  Definitely check in with them for a big THANK YOU for an amazing year.  We get to keep all of them at Duke (yay!) as your consultants and/or GM attending next year which is great news for all of us (and the patients).

We will be getting shadow day info out and the detail schedules posted this week.  The last week is always a bit chaotic with the changeover, so pay attention to the detail schedules to make sure you are in the right place at the right time!

Kudos this week to our MELT grads Aashu Patel, Amber Fleck, Dre Rochet, Clare Anderson, Courtney Richman, Hannah Schwennesen, Eric Wilson, Karen Young, Katie Smith, Kristen McClellan, Maxine Chan, Lauren Pinion, Nandita Singh, Nivita Sharma and Sam Collins! Also kudos to Sarah Morgan from AD Khatri for her help with a patient in the VA MICU, to Siven Chinniah from Kaela Miller for going above and beyond for a veteran, to Maggie Oliver from Karen Young for her exterminator skills, to Zoe Shancer, Katelyn Rennyson, Noah Hellerman, Yemi Olubowale, Saurabh Sudesh and Kristen McClellan for being the most amazing MICU team (also from Karen Young), to Melissa Cutshaw for a fantastic SAR talk and to Liz Kobe as well as Alejandro de la Torre and Yemi Olubowale from Pulm fellow Courtney Welch for incredible overnight care of a very sick patient.
