From the Director
Happy Monday, all! Thanks to Kayla for helping plan the rising SAR retreat, to Dr. Criscione for hosting at her home, to Drs. Garbarino, Labriola, Hargett, Boggan, Duffy, Sullivan and Harris for awesome leadership and to all who covered JAR rotations so people could attend! Beautiful weather as well!
This week, you will see the signups for end of year meetings (SARs/preliminary interns – me; categorical interns – Dr. Hargett, JARs – advisors if you haven’t already met). Look for an email about what to think about before you meet! It is getting closer to fellowship application submission time – AS PER THE ERAS WEBSITE, you can register for ERAS and get your token on JUNE 8, 2023.
More info to follow in a fellowship specific email.
Kudos
Congratulations to Anand and Shruti Shah on their wedding!
Kudos this week to Alex Antonia and Luxi Wan for excellent SAR talks, to Katie Smith for being a huge help with the DOC folders, to Michael Dagher for an epic discharge day on gen med (from Emory Buck) and to Hannah Schwennensen (also from Emory) for her triage NF skills, to Zack Dailey from Fouad Chouari for awesome work in the CICU, to Sachi Oshima, Drew Vista and Nicole Dussault from Hannah Schwennensen for fantastic NF skills (I can attest as well after our week on Gen Med!), and to Shivy Chandramouli from Julian Weiss for being a great support as the CICU JAR. Also to our gen med team (plus the above mentioned NFs, including Eric Wilson as well!) of Kirsten Binz, Lydia Denison, Dana Naamani and MSII Eli Abernethy for superior patient care during a fun week of Gen Med.
There have been a TON of presentations in the past couple of weeks based on the huge IM Res presence on MedTwitter! Please send us your abstract titles if you haven’t done so.
Pubmed from the Director
This week's pubmed from the program goes to Sarah Morgan for her podium presentation on the “My Life, My Story” project at the American Geriatric Society Meeting! Way to go!
Have a great week
