From the Director
Another great IM Res week! The energy is fantastic and we appreciate all you are doing! Finishing touches are in on the fellowship applications and conference attendance has been awesome! Looking forward to meeting with many of the interns this week – thanks for signing up!
We have two new Duke Fam babies … Sebastion Antonia (congrats to recent grad and current ID fellow Alex Antonia and family) and Collins Grace Curtis (congrats to Sam Curtis and family). All are doing well!
Kudos
Kudos this week to Katie Center from the 2300 nursing team for her outstanding leadership during a BRT, to Best Uchehara from Sarah Lemmon RN (4100) for excellent patient and family communication, to Jackie Kercheval and Katie Jordan for “shockingly awesome” and “epically fantastic” SAR talks (credit JVK for the puns), to Hannah Schwennesen from Nick Brazeau for her help at the VA, and right back to Nick from Hannah for excellent work at the VA, to Maggie Blevins and Jordan Franklin from Karen Young for crushing it in the CICU, and to Harrison Matthews from Katie Smith for his work as dayfloat!
Don’t forget the Stead Tread planning meeting tonight if you are able to make it! See email from Matt Townsend about how to get involved!
