From the Director
Another fun October week! Glad to kick off Doctoberfest with fun lunch in the courtyard (thanks to those who indulged a bit in the mummy bowling and pumpkin cornhole) and thank you to Vashyra Morris for setting up the s’mores station! Also big kudos to Dr. Van Kirk (and Dr. Boggan who got attending-assisted to VA GM!) for planning our first Family Day! Beautiful day in Duke Park with great turnout of our current and future Duke residents!
Kudos
Kudos this week to Gregg Robbins-Welty and Nick Mayne for superb SAR talks, to Eric Conklin from Lauren Pinion for awesome work at DRH GM, to Madeline Watson from Josh Gray for strong management of patients in the CICU, to Stephen Landy from our amazing alum DaMarcus Ingram for phenomenal patient centered care on cardiology, to Elisabeth Fassas and Best Uchehara from Karen Young for their great work at the VA and also from Karen to Kristen McClellan for being a fantastic person to work with, and to my weekend gen med crew of Sara Barlow, Sara Yosief, Juliann Gilchrist and Noah Hellerman for amazing teamwork and patient care!
