Internal Medicine Residency News- October 21st, 2024

From the Director

Let’s go! Chief HOT WINGS Challenge noon conference today! IF you have not read John Demis’ email about this, you are missing out.  Be there.

Doctoberfest rolls on with more fun and costumes this week.  Thank you to Nivita Sharma and Komal Safdar for planning the DRH fall fest last Friday, to Lynsey and Noah for getting us ready for the Flannels and Firepit party at our house on Saturday and to the chief crew for a great hot cocoa and cider pizza rounds!  Be on the lookout for more trivia this week as well. Pickleball rages on to the ELITE EIGHT!!!! Let’s go!!!

Please see Dr Labriola’s email about recruitment HYPE signups!! YOU are the reason we bring in the best folks from an amazing group of applicants!

Things to note: if you have not met with your advisor yet this fall, it’s time.  Please reach out if you don’t have a meeting scheduled.  Be on the lookout for mid year (“semi-annual”) meeting sign ups with Dr Hargett or me…this is the time we reflect on the first half of the year and set personal goals for the second half.    For SARs applying in the fellowship match, please make sure you are registered for the NRMP so that you can put in your rank list when you are ready to do so.
