Final news of 2023!  Gearing up for the mid-year break.  We are excited for everyone to get a little time away and thank you for caring for patients over the winter holidays. 

 

Kudos

 

Kudos this week to our awesome SAR talks from Drew Vista and Zach Silver as well as two excellent Cohen Conferences from Mark Brahier and Michael Rauschenbach.  Also kudos from Nivita Sharma to the epic NF crew of Andre Rochet, Saurabh Sudesh, Haley Bush and Rachel Obimah, from Sarah Morgan to Stephen Landy and Katha Desai for a serious day of patient discharges with additional kudos to Josh Gray from the team as well for his help as NF.  (also kudos to this crew and Mohamed Mohamed for a lovely GM 1 weekend with excellent patient care).

All trainees at Duke have FREE access to Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke University. The staff of licensed professionals offer confidential assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family problems. PAS services are available free of charge to Duke faculty and staff, and their immediate family members. An appointment to meet with a PAS counselor may be arranged by calling the PAS office at 919-416-1PAS (919-416-1727), Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Prioritized GME appts are now available also at 6 pm and 7 pm! For assistance after hours, residents and fellows can call the Blood and Body Fluid Hotline (115 inside DUH, 919-684-1115 outside) for referral to behavioral health resources. Another resource is Duke Outpatient Psychiatry Referrals at (919) 684-0100 or 1-888-ASK-DUKE. Home | Personal Assistance Service (duke.edu)
