Lavanya Vasudevan, PhD, MPH, CPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and the Global Health Institute at Duke University. Additionally, Dr. Vasudevan holds the title of faculty affiliate at the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke. Dr. Vasudevan completed her doctoral studies in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology from Cornell University and was a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, San Francisco. She subsequently received a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is Certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. She is currently a Duke Clinical and Translational Sciences KL2 Research and Career Development Award Scholar. She has received several awards and honors including induction in the Delta Omega Honor Society in Public Health and the Triangle Global Health Consortium’s Ward Cates Emerging Leader in Global Health award.
