Bosworth speaks at CDC about medication non-adherence

Hayden Bosworth, PhD, recently traveled to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to share his expertise about the problem of medication non-adherence by patients with chronic disease. The CDC's Division of Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) invited Dr. Bosworth to give two presentations for their "Seminar in Science: From Evidence to Action - Understanding and Addressing the Burden of Medication Non-adherence," held October 20-21, 2016, in Atlanta.

The titles of Dr. Bosworth's talks were "Integrating medication adherence assessment tools: the healthcare system perspective" and "Accelerating progress with medication nonadherence: a research agenda for the future."

Medication adherence is just one of Bosworth's areas of research; the others being translation research to improve access to quality of care and research towards eliminating health care disparities.
