Cameron selected for ASN public policy internship program for junior faculty

The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) selected Blake Cameron, MD, MBI, medical instructor (Nephrology), for its public policy internship program for junior faculty.

During his two-year term which began Jan. 1 2017, Dr. Cameron will serve on the ASN Policy and Advocacy Committee and work on ASN-sponsored public policy projects designed to advance kidney disease research and improve population health.

“Blake is leading innovative efforts at Duke to improve kidney care delivery in a complex health system. The ASN public policy internship will  position Blake to network and lead national efforts on this important topic," Myles Wolf, MD, MMSc, chief of the Division of Nephrology.

Cameron earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University and clinical informatics degree at Oregon Health & Science University. He joined the Division of Nephrology faculty in 2016 after completing his residency and fellowship at Duke. He co-directs the Duke Learning Health System Training Program. His work in the area of chronic kidney disease population health management has been recognized locally and nationally.
