Chudgar receives professionalism award from Duke medical students

Saumil Chudgar, MD, MS, assistant professor of medicine (Hospitalist), associate director of undergraduate medical education for the Department of Medicine and associate medical director of the Hospital Medicine Program, recently received a 2013 Practice Course Professionalism Award from Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Chudgar was selected by second-year medical students in the Practice Course. The award recognizes exceptional professional behavior in a clinical setting. The Practice Course teaches professionalism, and the goal of the course is to develop physicians who will treat patients with respect.
