Philanthropic giving is a driving force behind our success in Duke General Internal Medicine. A gift can play a pivotal role in ensuring that what we do every day enhances and advances the quality of life for so many people. It means personalized care, better doctors, and excellent care for all.
Duke General Internal Medicine has recently received two generous gifts that will help accelerate our Division: one for the Duke Outpatient Clinic (DOC) and one for Duke Signature Care.
The Duke Outpatient Clinic’s gift will go towards advancing their hot-spotting initiative, while The Duke Signature Care gift will help establish an endowment that supports activities related to patient centered care delivery and innovations in ambulatory practice.
“We are looking to support several key activities related to our work with Primary Care Medical Home,” says John Paat, MD, Duke Signature Care physician, “including health literacy and improved patient access.”
Leading philanthropic efforts in their respective areas for GIM are:
Dr. Lynn Bowlby: DOC
Dr. John Paat: Executive Health/Signature Care
Dr. David Casarett: Palliative Care
Dr. David Gallagher: Hospital Medicine
Dr. Bruce Peyser: Duke Primary Care
Donors may direct their gift in a way that is most meaningful to them, including supporting the work of their physician.
