Funding opp: Duke Center for AIDS Research Fall small grants RFP

The Duke University Center for AIDS Research has announced a Request for Proposals for clinical, basic and social and behavioral science HIV/AIDS research for awards beginning December 2014. Awards will be for one year of funding of up to $40,000 in direct costs. The intent of a CFAR Developmental Core is to support scientific studies for a period of 1 year to develop preliminary data for peer-reviewed research applications. Four general areas are eligible for support through the Developmental Core:
  • Investigators who are new to HIV/AIDS research and have not previously received independent research awards such as an R01 in HIV/AIDS research
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Emerging research opportunities
  • HIV/AIDS research activities of newly recruited faculty
