Congratulations to Jennifer Gierisch, PhD, assistant professor of medicine, who has been appointed associate director of the Durham VA Evidence-based Synthesis Program.
As associate director for Durham’s program, Dr. Gierisch will take a leadership role in providing timely and accurate syntheses of important targeted healthcare topics to clinicians, managers and policymakers, as they work to improve the health and health-care of veterans.
Reports generated by the ESP will develop evidence-based policies, improve patient outcomes for veterans, and set the direction for future research.
