GIM's Williams, Jackson, Van Houtven, Hayes, and Kinsinger - all authors in current NCMJ

The current issue of the North Carolina Medical Journal (NCMJ) just arrived! This release is about “Caring for Heroes.” Many of the articles are written by our professional colleagues who care for military veterans. We are proud to say that four were submitted by members of Duke General Internal Medicine.

In the Policy Forum, the Issue Brief authors are John W. Williams, Jr., MD, MHS, and George Jackson, PhD, MHA. The Brief focuses on the health needs of service members and veterans within a health system that’s experiencing challenges of major growth and is titled: “Utilizing Evidence to Address the Health and Health Care Needs of Veterans.”

Three of the Invited Commentaries are DGIM authors:

The NCMJ appears six times per year and is read by a wide range of health care professionals, policy makers, government officials, business executives, educators, researchers, and interested lay people.
