Hematology training program receives renewed K12 funding

Marilyn Telen, MD, Wellcome Professor of Medicine and chief of the Division of Hematology, has learned that a joint Duke-UNC faculty training program, Clinical Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Research Career Development Program, has received renewed funding from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. This program is designed to ensure the continuation of high quality, patient-oriented research in hematology and transfusion medicine through the careful and thorough training of post-doctoral and post-fellowship scholars who are committed to academic careers focused on clinical research in these areas.
