Clinic Corner: Ambulatory

Massive Thanks
There really are no words to express how phenomenal Emily Sikes and Hannah Dzimitrowicz have been this year. But I’m going to try to find some. This year began in the early pandemic period with a bunch of ambulatory threads schedules and global health plans which had essentially imploded as a result of the obvious crisis mode and redistribution of clinical effort that resulted across the health system. It’s hard to convey what it means to have the day to day life of nearly every resident in a huge program totally reshuffled… and it wasn’t perfect, but we made it. Add to that the complexity of about 13 unique ambulatory based educational offerings which are placed into schedules strategically based on countless different colliding factors, and the day to day logistics of keeping the notifications and schedules and requirements humming… Emily and Hannah have been an incredible team behind the scenes, taking everything in stride and attacking problems with tremendous logic, caring, and commitment. We are so lucky to have had this team, this year. They are so smart and so capable, and they make it all look far easier than it is.
As Hannah winds down chief year to head back to hematology-oncology fellowship, and Emily prepares for her maternity leave, I want to thank them for being the team that saw us through this. I’m forever grateful to you both!!
