From the Director
Happy Monday everyone. Lots of good things happening – many residents presenting at national meetings these past few weeks including the American College of Rheumatology, the AASLD Meeting, and the American Heart Association meetings. Don’t forget to send us your abstract and presentation titles (send to Tia, Dr. Mitchell and me!).
We are looking forward to a guest presentation at noon conference today all the way from Portland OR – Dr. Andre Mansoor, the author of Frameworks in Internal Medicine will be zooming in to teach us about his many physical exam pearls. Should be a great talk.
Let’s all keep up with ThanksRx’ing our colleagues for great work. No better time than THANKSGIVING month to do this.
We look forward to hosting our JARs for a mini-retreat on Tuesday afternoon – thank you to our SARs for covering the teams for them.
Kudos
Kudos this week to SeaBass Franco and Matt Abbott for outstanding SAR talks, to Neesha Nama, fellow Jose Ruiz, Nathan Hirshman, Emory Buck, Harsh Patolia, Dennis Narcisse, Nancy Yang, Brittany Chapman and Stephanie Reyes for teaching our City of Medicine class, to Brandon Durant for outstanding transfers of care at the VA (from Dr Scott Robert), to former VA CRQS Govind Krishnan from Carter Devlin for MICU fellow support, to Matt Goodwin from Nicole Dussault for excellent work taking care of a very complex patient on VA nights, to Lauren Pinion for consolidating a lot of information on a complex patient and to Hope Glowacki for her help as a SAR (from Priyanka Reddy) and to Sriya Muralidiharan from Sam Dizon for amazing care of some sick pediatric patients.
