Congratulations to Neil MacIntyre, MD, professor of medicine (Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine), who received the Thomas L. Petty Distinguished Pulmonary Scholar Award last week at the annual meeting of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Each year the award is presented to an individual who has a history of significant research contributions in the field of pulmonary rehabilitation. Dr. MacIntyre's selection is in recognition of his many outstanding contributions to the science of exercise and the treatment of pulmonary disease.
