Daniella Zipkin, assistant professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine), shared these tips about Maestro Care, which is now in use at the Duke Outpatient Clinic:
This tip can be really useful for completing notes easily, and I learned something from one of our interns today (who's been on Epic) that makes it even better.To do your assessment and plan:
- Push problem list items over to the visit diagnosis section, and/or add diagnoses to visit diagnosis directly
- Do your orders and associate them ALL, even meds/refills. (this will make the A&P nicer later)
- At the progress note field, when you're ready, use the dot phrase ".assessplan" - this pulls in your diagnoses and the corresponding orders as a smartlink.
- Finally, select the whole blue section, right click and look for "make this field editable" - and viola, you can add any additional thoughts/comments to the individual problems.
