Assistant Professor of Medicine, Dr. Nia Mitchell, was accepted to the Transdisciplinary Research on Energetics and Cancer (TREC) Training Workshop. This prestigious program will take place virtually June 21-26, 2020, due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
"I was excited to be accepted into the program," says Mitchell. "I’ve been doing obesity research for a while, but I have only recently started to think about the intersection of obesity and cancer. This program will offer me a great foundation to start a new area of research.”
