Laura Caputo, MD, medical instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, and Alicia Clark, MD, assistant professor of medicine (Hospital Medicine Program) and associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, invite faculty and trainees to participate in a new book club. "Our goal is to read and reflect on books addressing issues relevant to the modern physician including medical ethics, gender equality, career development and sustainability," said Dr. Clark. "We are open to suggestions for the book list and hope that this program will help foster relationships between faculty and house staff." The book club's first meeting is scheduled for Wed, Jan. 28 from 7-9 p.m. in the Duke Medicine Faculty Center (Seeley G. Mudd Building) to discuss Atul Gawande's latest book, Being Mortal. Please contact Dr. Clark (alicia.clark@dm.duke.edu) if you plan to attend the Jan. 28 meeting.
