O'Brien takes home 2nd place at IDWeek

The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) held their annual IDWeek October 2-6 in Washington, DC.  

On October 3, GIM Assistant Professor of Medicine, Dr. Cara O'Brien, presented at the IDea Incubator. They narrowed the 53 submissions down to four finalists who were competing for the grand prize of $10,000 in front of an expert panel of judges.

Dr. O'Brien presented her idea on Sepsis Watch, a way to better identify and manage patients with sepsis and took home second place.
