Palliative care documentary to be screened December 4

Duke Palliative Care will host a screening of the newly-released documentary film Consider the Conversation 2: Stories about Cure, Relief and Comfort at the Full Frame Theatre on the American Tobacco campus on Thurs., Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m.  

"This is a wonderful film that has aired on PBS stations nationwide and highlights the experience of living with serious illness and the role that good palliative care can play," said James Tulsky, MD, professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine) and nursing and chief of Duke Palliative Care.

Several Duke providers are featured in this film, including Dr. Tulsky; Richard Payne, MD; Arif Kamal, MD, Anthony Galanos, MD; and others.

A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the screening of the film at 7 and then a short panel discussion/Q&A session afterward.
