Register today for K Club, Path to Independence courses - deadline is 5/18/15

The Office for Faculty Mentoring is accepting applications for two upcoming grant writing programs. Applications are due next Mon., May 18. Summer workshops prepare investigators for an October 2015 NIH Submission Deadline (or January 2016 deadline for AIDS-Related applications).  Course details can be found on The Office for Faculty Mentoring’s website.  For help with resubmissions or non-NIH grants, contact our office for resources.

Application Requirements—due May 18th

  • Specific aims page scientifically vetted by your mentor and/or departmental colleagues
  • Draft abstract
  • Initialed and signed Memorandum of Understanding (click here for Path to Independence Program MOU, click here for K Club MOU)

Important Dates, Program Period May 26, 2015 – Oct. 12, 2015

  • Class size is limited, and priority will be given to SoM faculty members.  Application closes May 18
  • Combined orientation and “Primer on Grant Preparation” Lecture May 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • NIH grant application due for internal review Aug. 1
  • Internal Peer Review Session (structured like an NIH Study Section!) Aug. 27, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Application includes: specific aims, abstract, signed Memorandum of Understanding (click here for Path to Independence Program MOU, click here for K Club MOU)
