Suchita Shah Sata, MD, was selected by Duke Hospital Medicine as the recipient of their 2021 Excellence in Education Award.
This award recognizes a hospital medicine faculty member for excellence in medical education.
Dr. Sata has served the Department in a leadership role for the Program for Women in Internal Medicine (PWIM). In this role and beyond, she has served as a mentor for learners and colleagues. Dr. Sata recieves wonderful evaluations from students in the Clinical Skills Course and the Capstone Course. Her passion for medical education has led to her leadership in the GME Medical Education Leadership Track, where she serves as Associate Director. She has also led the hospital medicine group in scholarly work around education, both locally, regionally at CME conferences, and nationally with numerous publications.
