Save the date 5/20/16: Resident Research Day

The Internal Medicine Residency Program's annual Resident Research event will take place Fri., May 20 at 8 a.m. with special presentations at Medicine Grand Rounds. This year's event is held in conjunction with the School of Medicine's Clinical Research Day, which will be held Thur., May 19, on the sixth floor of the Trent Semans Center.

Clinical Research Day

Faculty and trainees are invited to drop in from 4-8:30 p.m. on May 19 to view posters and hear the Clinical Research Day keynote speakers, which include three Medicine faculty:

  • Ephraim Tsalik, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine (Infectious Diseases)
  • Joseph Rogers, MD, interim chief and professor of medicine (Cardiology)
  • Lesley Curtis, PhD, professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine) and director, Center for Population Health Sciences

Residents and fellows are encouraged to submit clinical research for the Clinical Research Day poster session. Submissions are due Mon., March 28. Click here for details. Monetary awards will be presented to the first, second, and third place winners of the competition. Dean Nancy Andrews, MD, PhD, will be the honorary poster judge.

Resident Research Day

At Medicine Grand Rounds the next morning, May 20, residents selected for the Califf Medicine Research Awards will present their research. Resident research posters will be on display before and after the Medicine Grand Rounds presentations.
