Search for next chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine

Mary Klotman, MD, chair of the Department of Medicine, has initiated the search for a Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Klotman formed a search committee that is charged with identifying the very best candidates. Kenneth Schmader, MD, chief of the Division of Geriatrics, is chair the committee. The list of committee members is included below.

"I want to thank Claude Piantadosi, MD, who has served as interim chief since August 2014," said Klotman. "I am very grateful for his stewardship of the Division, and thankful to all the faculty, trainees, and staff who have steadfastly focused their considerable talents on the research, patient care, and training activities in the Division."

While Klotman will become dean of the Duke School of Medicine before the search is completed, she said she is confident that the interim chair will be able to complete the search and find an outstanding leader for the Division.

Faculty and others can forward the names and CVs of any qualified internal or external candidates to the committee via diane.rinehard@duke.edu.
