SGIM19: recap + photo gallery

The Society of General Internal Medicine's (SGIM) annual meeting just wrapped up in Washington, DC.  What an amazing submersion into what matters in general internal medicine. The theme for the annual meeting was Courage to Lead: Equity, Engagement, and Advocacy in Turbulent Times.

Poster presentations, oral abstracts, plenary sessions, workshops, networking…they had it all going on! And Duke had a great presence of medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty, many with presentation acceptances! Besides so many informative sessions and presentations, we took time to relax for a lovely DGIM reception on Thursday evening, with delicious food and wonderful company. We are already looking forward to next year, the 2029 Annual Meeting, May 6 - 9, taking place in Birmingham Alabama.
