The Society of General Internal Medicine's (SGIM) annual meeting just wrapped up in Orlando, Florida. This was the first in-person meeting since 2019, and what an amazing submersion it was into what matters in general internal medicine! The theme for the annual meeting was Dimensions of a Generalist Career: Discovery, Equity, and Impact.
Poster presentations, oral abstracts, plenary sessions, workshops, networking…they had it all going on! And Duke had a great presence of medical students, residents, and faculty, many with presentation acceptances. Click here to see the Duke at SGIM22 itinerary.
Duke GIM Associate Professor of Medicine, Dr. Daniella Zipkin, even took home the SGIM Mid-Career Education Mentorship Award.
Besides so many informative sessions and presentations, we took time to relax for a lovely DGIM reception on Thursday evening, with delicious food and wonderful company. See more in our photo gallery below.
We are already looking forward to next year's annual meeting, May 10-13, taking place in Aurora, Colorado. The theme will be General Internal Medicine: Meeting the Promise of Tomorrow.
