Snyderman receives AAMC's 2012 David E. Rogers Award

Andrews, MD, PhD, shared the following with the Duke University School of Medicine community today: I am pleased to share the news that Ralph Snyderman, MD, Chancellor Emeritus at Duke and James B. Duke Professor Medicine, is the recipient of the AAMC's 2012 David E. Rogers Award. Snyderman received the award this weekend at the AAMC's annual meeting. It is awarded to medical school faculty who have made major contributions to improving the health and health care of the American people. In addition to being a national leader in the development and implementation of the personalized medicine movement, Snyderman is recognized for his contributions to the development of the Duke University Health System, and the DCRI. He was also instrumental in creating initiatives that have helped to make Duke a leader in transforming how health care is delivered. Please join me in congratulating Ralph on this prestigious honor.
