Williams presents MGR at UT Health

Back in March, John Williams, MD,  traveled to his old stomping grounds at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health) to do a visiting professorship for a day. This included giving a grand rounds entitled, "Integrative Behavior Health in Primary Care". After his grand rounds presentation, he met with UT Health's behavioral healthcare team and other healthcare professionals and advised them on how to locally integrate behavior health into their primary care practice.

Dr. Williams came to Duke from UT Health in 2001 after working there for over 10 years. Below is a photo of him in San Antonio in 1993 with their DGIM faculty team. Can you guess which one is Dr. Williams? (Hint: We helped you out by making him the only one in color.)

Williams' topical interests include depression, mental health services, dementia and implementation of best practices. He directs the Durham VA Evidence Synthesis Program and has led numerous systematic reviews, many focusing on mental health services.
