Writing your first NIH R01 application?

Mark Dewhirst, DVM, PhD, FASTRO, FAAAS, associate dean for faculty mentoring, alerts faculty to the following opportunity . Introducing Know your audience: Mock Study Sessions. Great communication skills are built upon knowing your audience. This can be particularly important when preparing grant applications. During these mock study sections, you will have the opportunity to review real R01 grant applications, and to participate in an NIH-style study section chaired by experienced Duke faculty members. Two identical sessions will be held in September. These sessions will be most useful for faculty without previous experience on NIH study sections Registration is required and participation is limited to the first 20 registrants. Light refreshments will be provided.
