Tech note: New anti-virus software available for personal use

By etm18@dhe.duke.edu
Duke is transitioning to new anti-virus protection software, which means that students, faculty and staff who currently use McAfee on their personal computers should switch to Symantec Endpoint Protection as soon as possible. DHTS will be working with IT support personnel across Duke Medicine to deploy Symantec virus protection on Duke Medicine-owned and supported computers, and strongly recommends faculty, students and staff update their personal computers to ensure a secure computing environment. To make the switch on your personal machine: The OIT Service Desk, at 919-684-2200 or at the Link in Perkins Library, can assist with installation of Symantec virus protection on your personal machines.
