Fellowship Track: Clinical
Start Year: 2024
Originally from: El Paso, Texas
Education and training:
- Undergraduate: University of Texas at Dallas
- Medical School: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
- Residency/Chief Residency: Duke
Career goals:
- Focus on building long-term relationships with patients by providing consistent and empathetic care
- Provide gender affirming care for transgender and gender diverse patients
- Provide hands-on training, guidance, and support for medical trainees in internal medicine and endocrinology
Reasons I chose Duke:
- Having completed my residency at Duke and being part of an exceptionally supportive program both in and out of the hospital, I had many opportunities to collaborate closely with the Endocrine division – it always exceeded my expectations!
- I love working in an environment where everyone is passionate about their roles and arrives each day eager to learn and share knowledge with others.
Happy surprises:
- In the short time, since starting fellowship, everyone I work with genuinely feels like family, and I consistently feel supported both within the hospital and beyond.
