What were you looking for in a fellowship program?
A supportive environment where I can develop my clinician educator abilities. A place with a big diversity of pathologies where I can train to be an excellent Rheumatologist. A program where I feel supported by my mentors and colleagues to achieve my goals.

Reflections on the Duke Program and Durham

What are the strengths of the Duke Program?
Diversity of pathologies, patients and trainees. A ton of social support for the patients. State-of-the-art technology and a supportive educational environment. I love coming to work every day.

What has surprised you most about Duke?
That despite being a enormous medical center, it still feels like a small family.

What is the best thing about living in Durham and the Triangle?
The food options and the artistic scene! We get amazing broadway shows at a reasonable price!

What advice would you give to someone looking to move to Durham?
Come prepare to enjoy the best of a big city in a medium size one!

What are your interests outside of medicine?
Gardening and traveling
