What are your career goals? I plan to pursue a career in academic infectious diseases, with a combination of HIV-focused research and clinical practice in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
What are your interests outside of medicine? My primary research focus is advancing the HIV care continuum, with a focus on underserved and Latino communities. I’m interested in the intersection of HIV and cardiovascular disease and how to implement evidence-based interventions to prevent cardiovascular disease among people with HIV. I also work on HIV prevention through collaborations with local community organizations. I also have an interest in Chagas disease and have done research on congenital Chagas disease and Chagas cardiomyopathy in Bolivia
What are your interests outside of medicine? I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, trumpet playing, amateur crafting, workout classes with friends, hiking, and spending time with my husband and family.
