What are your career goals?
I am hoping to solidify this in the coming year, but I am interested in transplant nephrology and I am strongly considering completing a transplant fellowship. I am also interested in medical administration, and eager to take on leadership positions at my future institution.
What were you looking for in a fellowship program?
I was looking for a program that was well structured, yet dynamic and flexible, so that I would receive solid training and be encouraged to explore my interests. It was also very important that I be at a place where fellows were enthusiastic about their work and enjoyed working with in another.
Which Scholar pathway will you choose and why?
2 year clinician concentration pathway, during my second year I will likely complete the transplant track
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
There is a very strong sense of community here at Duke, and from day one you will feel supported and valued. It is very evident that program leadership takes an individualized approach to each fellow’s unique needs and learning goals.
