Career and Research Goals

I want to become a clinician researcher with a focus on health disparities in tuberculosis diagnosis and care in the United States and internationally. I am also interested in tropical infectious diseases, especially neglected tropical infections.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

I chose to come to Duke as it is a large tertiary care center with a great large clinical variety, from transplant infections to public health exposure through exposure to tuberculosis patients at the health department. I also will be able to develop my career as a researcher through great research mentorship and masters coursework through the global health pathway for residents and fellows.
