VOICES is hosting a spring contest with the theme of RENEWAL! Submissions for this themed contest will be accepted until March 1, 2023. Please see the attached flyer.
VOICES is Duke University School of Medicine's literary journal. We welcome any submissions from trainees, patients, healthcare providers, families & friends who would like to share their experiences with and reflections on healthcare. In the past, VOICES has published articles, essays, short stories, poetry, photography, and artwork. Please email us (voices@duke.edu) to showcase your work in print! Employee Health has Expanded Hours!
Based on feedback from team members who are seeking COVID testing so they can safely return to work with EOHW approval, the COVID hotline has expanded hours for employees: 5:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. 7 days per week.

All trainees at Duke have FREE access to Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke University. The staff of licensed professionals offer confidential assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family problems. PAS services are available free of charge to Duke faculty and staff, and their immediate family members. An appointment to meet with a PAS counselor may be arranged by calling the PAS office at 919-416-1PAS (919-416-1727), Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Prioritized GME appts are now available also at 6 pm and 7 pm! For assistance after hours, residents and fellows can call the Blood and Body Fluid Hotline (115 inside DUH, 919-684-1115 outside) for referral to behavioral health resources.
