Internal Medicine Residency News - May 12th, 2025

Fam,

Busy week ahead! We have the rising SAR retreat/post retreat gathering, the IM Res vs Faculty basketball game at Cameron Indoor (let’s go!!! Thank you Dr. G. for helping us secure the greatest venue in all of sports), and the Chief Picnic! Rain, rain, go away. Looking forward to seeing many of you at the events of the week.

As we wrap up the year, please update your procedure logs, fill out those pesky uncompleted work hours logs and check to make sure you are up to date on the module situation. For SARs, please remember that if you are leaving Duke then you should not moonlight after May 31 as there is no method for payment for June work.

Kudos this week to Andre Rochet, Sandra Au and Isabelle Byers on their fantastic SAR talks. Big thanks to Amanda for hosting a wonderful visit from visiting Professor Dr. Schapira! We loved getting a chance to talk with her and great to have some of our future oncologists meet her as well!

This week’s pubmed from the program goes to Luderve Rosier for her presentation at the recent DDW meeting, with co-author IM Res Cat Cheney!

“Fecal Immunochemical testing for colo-rectal cancer screening outside high income countries: a systematic review and meta-analysis”. Cheney, Rosier, Cnatrell, Theilman and Sullivan.

Have a great week!

Aimee
