Giving to Hospital Medicine

Duke Hospital Medicine's Use of Philanthropic Gifts

The Duke Hospital Medicine Programs have a strong commitment to quality patient care through: Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, IT Innovation, and Research.

As a clinical institution, Duke Hospital cannot provide funding for research endeavors.  Your tax exempt donation will be used to help our Programs fund research and quality improvement efforts that ultimately lead to enhanced patient care for the patients served by Duke University Health System.

Duke Hospitalists are currently working on projects to improve patient care through the following projects and initiatives:

  • Reducing readmissions to the hospital
  • Reducing catheter associated urinary tract infections
  • Accurate medication reconciliation
  • Improving patient access to primary care providers following discharge
  • Post discharge phone calls

Your donation is greatly appreciated by the Hospital Medicine Programs and will go toward helping improve care for the patients we serve.  After making your donation, you will receive a thank you letter and tax receipt from Duke University Development and Gifts.

To make a gift online today, visit our secure website (https://www.gifts.duke.edu/daa) and specifically note in the section “Additional/Other Designations” that your gift is to support the Duke Hospital Medicine Programs.

We hope you choose to make a donation to the Hospital Medicine Programs.
