Duke University Hospital
The majority of inpatient and consultative clinical responsibilities of cardiology fellows are performed here. Inpatient cardiology services include the Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Electrophysiology, Acute Cardiology, Heart Failure, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation, and Structural Heart Diseases. The Duke Medicine Pavilion, or DMP, is a critical care and surgery expansion of Duke University Hospital. The state-of-the-art, 8-floor pavilion includes 160 critical care rooms, 16 operating rooms and an imaging suite. Family zones, natural light wells and larger patient rooms and waiting areas provide patients and their loved ones with a top-of-the-line healthcare experience.
Nuclear cardiology, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and cardiac CT angiography laboratories are located in the DMP.
Duke Clinics (Duke South)
The cardiac diagnostic unit (CDU) which includes outpatient Echocardiography, EKG, Holter monitoring, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and EECP services are based in the Duke Clinic building.
The Durham VAMC
Cardiology fellows participate in a busy, outpatient program in addition to providing consultative and cardiac imaging services to the inpatients.
Duke Raleigh Hospital
Cardiology fellows currently participate in clinics and procedures focused on peripheral vascular medicine at this facility.
