To apply to the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program, use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The application process for fellowships beginning in 2025 begins Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The ERAS submission deadline for Duke GI is August 1, 2024. Interviews occur in September and early October.
All applications must include:
- Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) common application form (CAF), including CV
- Personal statement
- Medical school transcript
- Three letters of recommendation (including a letter from Chair or Program Director of applicant's residency program)
- USMLE transcripts (Steps 1, 2, & 3)
All applicants interested in training at Duke Medicine will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Duke Gastroenterology Fellowship Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
International Medical Graduates (IMG) should note that completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Training Program and ABIM board-eligibility in Internal Medicine is required for ABIM board-eligibility and certification in Gastroenterology. Due to eligibility requirements of NIH training (T32) grants, J1 or H1-B visa holders cannot be considered for the Duke GI Fellowship Program Research Track.
