Pearls from 12/15/20 Medicine LEADS

Wednesday, December 16, 2020

The Dec. 15, 2020 session of Duke Medicine LEADS featured Kyle Rehder, MD, CPPS, presenting "Practical QI for the Busy Clinician."

Here are pearls and takeaways from the session:

  1. Traditional research helps us find WHAT the right thing to do is. QI helps us figure out HOW to do the right thing.
  2. QI is statistically rigorous with its own accompanying methodology.
  3. For successful projects, engage all your stakeholders, understand the process, and hardwire your changes for sustainability.
