Duke Residents Match in Nine Subspecialties, 15 Remain at Duke

On Wednesday, December 3, the Duke Department of Medicine joined residents across the country in marking the 2025 Fellowship Match Day. Faculty, trainees, and friends gathered in Duke North 2002 to celebrate and discover where the next phase of their medical training will unfold.

“It is so exciting to find out where this incredible group of senior residents will complete their subspecialty training,” said DOM Vice Chair of Education Lisa Criscione-Schreiber, MD, MEd. “We are proud of their accomplishments here at Duke and look forward to hearing about their future successes!”

Duke residents matched in nine subspecialties with 15 who will remain at Duke, where they will continue to build their clinical, educational, and research skills in our divisions.

They have a variety of hospitals, including a public hospital called Parkland, which I’m really excited about,” said Uchehara. “I’m excited about the people and to train in a different environment, unlike anything I’ve experienced before.”
