The School of Medicine has selected four Medicine faculty to be among the first round of recipients of the Duke Strong Start New Physician-Scientist Award.
Congratulations to these investigators:
- Phuong Doan, MD, assistant professor (Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy)
- Katherine Garman, MD, assistant professor (Gastroenterology)
- Ravi Karra, MD, assistant professor (Cardiology)
- Christopher Holley, MD, PhD, assistant professor (Cardiology)
Each recipient will receive a one-year award of $70,000.
The Duke Strong Start New Physician-Scientist Award Program is funded by a gift from the Duke Endowment. It provides funding for promising, new physician-scientists at Duke as they develop independent research programs.
