John Perfect, MD, professor of medicine and chair of the Division of Infectious Diseases, is being honored by two organizations for his scientific contributions to the field of mycology.
At its annual congress in Melbourne, Australia earlier this month, the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology awarded Perfect the Lucille K. Georg ISHAM Medal, the Society's most prestigious award for scientific excellence.
The Medical Mycological Society of the Americas will award the Rhoda Benham Award to Dr. Perfect at its annual meeting in New Orleans next month.
