Recent DGIM funding awards

Congratulations to the following General Internal Medicine faculty members who were recipients of research funding:

Keisha Bentley-Edwards, PhD, received an award from the National Institutes of Health for a project entitled "The influence of religion/spirituality on Alzheimer's Disease and it's related dementias (ADRD) for African Americans." Total funding will be $398,857.

James Davis, MD, received a sub-award through ICF International, Inc. for a project entitled "Implement SmokeFreeTXT eReferral Program into the Duke Smoking Cessation Program." Total funding will be $147,382.

Lori Orlando, MD, received an award from the National Institutes of Health for a project entitled "Building and Deploying a Genomic-Medicine Risk Assessment Model for Diverse Primary Care Populations.." Total funding will be $2,967,476.
