The gastroenterology fellows presented four quality improvement projects at today's GI Grand Rounds. The projects represent almost two years of work.

Ziad Gellad, MD, MPH, associate professor of medicine (Gastroenterology) and the division's director of quality, was the faculty lead for the projects. Mentors included Deborah Fisher, MD; Jill Moore, MD; Ziad Gellad, MD, MPH; Cynthia Moylan, MD.
Berg visits the White House
Carl Berg, MD, professor of medicine (Gastroenterology) and medical director of abdominal transplantation, recently attended the White House Organ Summitt in Washington, D.C. Dr. Berg is the immediate past president for OPTN/UNOS. Also in attendance from Duke were Alan Kirk, MD, PhD, chair and professor of surgery, and Linda Cendales, MD, associate professor of surgery.
